Working With Families: Whole or Parts
The 21st World Family Therapy Congress will be held February 20 - 23, 2013 in Orlando, Florida. We invite you to join colleagues from around the world at Disney’s Coronado Springs Resort in Lake Buena Vista, FL, USA.
The 2013 Congress has as its theme Working With Families: Whole and Parts. The Congress will focus on the latest treatment techniques in working parents and children as well as presenting approaches to a variety of problems and ways of coping with them. The congress aims to help heal hurting couples and families in various cultures.
An Update: The congress will feature An Encounter Between Two Old Friends, a live in-person interview of Salvador Minuchin by Celia Falicov at the World Congress Opening Ceremony on Wednesday, February 20, 2013.
The International Family Therapy Association was an outgrowth of the East-West Bridging Congress conducted in Prague in 1987. Since that time, IFTA's goal has been the same: Advancing family therapy worldwide by promoting research, education, and sound practice while promoting international cooperation and the exchange of knowledge and ideas that support the health and well-being of families and persons around the world.
